Twilight Rules

Okay, I know that some of you out there have been reading Twilight, so I decided that I would hop on the band wagon. I love it, in all it's choppy dialog, and melodramatic glory! When I first started reading it, I was considering putting it down but once I was caught up in Edwards character I just couldn't stop. The book was finished in a day (needless to say that no dishes were done that day!) and the next day I went on-line and ordered the next two books. another part that I loved talked about Port Angeles (PA). I graduated from PAHS, ate at the same restaraunt that Edward and Bella went (Bella Itallia) and have eaten the same entre that was mentioned (Mushroom Ravioli....mmmmm) and I worked at the department store that was mentioned (Gottschalks). I also knew what book store Bella was looking at (I used to go in there all the time). PA is a great place and I really enjoyed reading about it. I have also been to Forks High School, the description is amazingly accurate. So is the fourth book the last one? Does Edward continue in the rest of the books? Aaaahhh! I cannot wait till Tuesday when I get the next ones. And I hear that there is a movie coming out as well.....

For those of you who have changed your blog to private no fair (The Straussburgs...)! We would really like to be invited...if that is okay! Our email is benandcortney@gmail.com.

Sorry that it has been so long...Happy 50th Dad!

Yep the big 50, we love you Dad!
Great Grandma Dona, we had so much fun together.
Austin was fascinated with this balloon, the reflection is pretty cool in this pic.
We were able to go see the Fackrells, it was so nice to see you guys! Have fun down in Rexburg!
Ben's dad liked to show Austin around the farm.
Kisses from the baby goat Peppermint Pattie. OXOXOXOXO.
In his old age my dad needs help getting around. :)
Here is my Grandma Lois, Austin just got up from a nap so he was grumpy.
Hey farmer Joe!

Auntie Jay really enjoyed having us up there.
Three generations, Austin, Pappa Chuck, and Great Grandpa Vern.

Grandma Jones was so great with her little grandson, thanks for all the fun Mom!
Read it to me again Grandpa...
Here are some of the pictures from our trip to Washington. Austin and I went to surprise my dad for his 50th Birthday. He had no idea! We surprised him early in the morning before work. I called him and told him to get a package off the porch since the on-line tracking said that it was delivered and it was perishable. When he opened the door there we were! He hardly knew what to say, for the first time my dad was speechless ;) (just kidding dad!). We had so much fun!!!!

Cutie Pie

Austin loves to watch my cousins.

He is now sucking on his hands a lot. He has a lovey (his stuffed animal) that he likes to suck on and cuddle, it is really adorable.

Tired boy!

He looks so cute in his little sun hat that he got for Easter.
Here is the Ester basket that Austin and Ben shared. Happy Easter!

This is how he likes to sleep. Yeah spread eagle!

Flying with Daddy.

We are officially moved in! After moving into this apartment I could never imagine living in anything smaller, I ask myself, how did we ever fit into that other place? Ben has been able to come home everyday for lunch since he works right across the street. Ben has not been able to walk there though because he sprained his ankle. Before that he was really sick from a monster cold! Poor guy, can't catch a break!
Our new ward is great. It is really small and we have a Spanish speaking unit as half of the ward, and we have Sister Missionaries. I think that we might be the only couple with a baby. They were all so excited that we moved in that when I introduced myself in Relief Society they all clapped! It felt really good to be there.
Austin is cooing all the time now, I love it so much, he is so much fun. It seems like he is trying to say something to me, with his furrowed brow and serious expressions...it is so great! We just love this kid, he is so wonderful.

Busy Weekend

Yeah, Uncle Jacob came to see us! Can you see the family resemblance?
He loves his swing

Here is My Aunt Brenda, it was so great to see you guys!

I loved the look on Austin's face in this one.

Here is the whole gang. We had so much fun!
Here is the new apartment, I am so excited for the huge closets.
We did so much this last weekend. We went over to our friends house on Friday and on Saturday went whale watching. That was so much fun! We saw literally a thousand dolphins and a huge hump back whale that jumped straight out of the water! Our camera ran out of batteries though so we only have a few pics, but it was a wonderful experience that Ben and I will always remember. Austin stayed on shore at My Aunt and Uncle's. I was a little nervous to be away from him for so long out on a boat, but he was happy and content when we returned. What a good baby! On Sunday Ben's brother Jacob came into to town as a part of his spring break from college, and my Aunt and Uncle from Washington also came to visit. Jacob drove up to Santa Barbara with us to see my family. It was really fun to see everyone. And you remember that apartment that I showed? Well we are not moving there. We found an apartment across the street from Ben's work that is larger than where we are now that come with a garage. It is also cheaper that where we are! Ben will be able to come home everyday for lunch and walk to and from work. The only thing is that to take advantage of the special price we have to move in ten days. AHHHHH! So we have been busy preparing for that. I am really sad that it does not have a washer and dryer, but we will be saving thousands of dollars a year in rent if we take advantage of this special, so there was no way that I could justify spending the money for the other apartment. Anyway rent is paying someone else, not ourselves like with a mortgage! Austin is learning how to laugh and it is really fun. He is such a good little buddy!

Grandma and Grandpa Jones Visit

Tummy time with Grandpa!

We put this Mariner's Jacket on him and, boy he did not like it! Needless to say Ben was depressed.

This was a wind storm at Huneme Beach, our ears were ringing after we got back to the car!
The boys hanging out

Hey Grandma, love you!
These pictures are older, but we wanted to show Ben's siblings the pictures from their parent's stay. Sorry that there are not many of your parents, but you know how Mom is (not exactly jumping in front of the camera!) We tried to get a few pics of them. We love you guys!

Eight Weeks Old

Austin was sick this last week with a chest cold, but is feeling much better now. He is on a nebulizer treatment, and cough medicine. He is doing so well, he slept for 6 hours the other night, whoo hoo! He is now 8 weeks old, and already growing into 3-6 month clothing. Most of his 0-3 clothes are too small. He is growing and changing everyday, it is such a blessing to have him in our family!

Here is Austin watching a Seattle Sonics Basketball game with Dad. I think that he will be just like his dad, his fascination with sports is already starting, he actually watched most of the game. It was hilarious!
Oh no the Sonics are loosing! Say it ain't so.

He loves to grab for the camera,

This is his FAVORITE place to lay and be, I love that it is on my shoulder. He is getting so big now that my arm falls asleep when he is on there too long, but I am not complaining!

Thank you Grandma Jones for sending this carrier to us! He is still getting used to it, he usually ends up crying and we have to take him out.

I like to get kisses Daddy!

He has a mobile over his crib that he loves to look at as you can tell from this picture.

Here are some pictures of Austin in 'big boy' clothes, he is so cute!

Austin loves his changing table. He almost always smiles and giggles when he lays there. Changing diapers can be fun!

Ben and I found a new apartment since our lease is up in the beginning of April, we are so excited to have a washer and dryer for the first time since we have been married! The apartment buildings are only 2 years old, and are out and away from the city so it is really quiet and pretty. Here is the floor plan. For those of you who have set your blog to private we would really like to be invited to see your blog (Milton's and McDonald's). We would like to respond to your comments! Our email is benandcortney@gmail.com.

This is our floor plan, it is aprox 970 sq ft, 120 sq ft bigger than what we are in now. Currently we are storing strollers and our cradle that we used in our living room. We feel like we are back in the Courtyard in apt 606! Just kidding!
