Mommy's little boy!
Here are some new pics of Austin. He is such a cute baby, we are so blessed to have him. My mom is visiting and she has done a great job getting me out of the house and doing things. It was really hard the first couple of days, I felt so depressed. I thought "this is it? I sleep when he sleeps and don't do anything else but feed him?" Then my mom came and she would not let me be like that. We worked on scheduling some of his night time feedings so that there were only so many and it is wonderful that Austin has responded.
I also feel so much more organized. We cleaned my carpets, re-arranged the furniture, re organized closets. Thank you so much Nanna Nay Nay! We love you!
So I am feeling better, I am a little scared to have my mom leave since we have only my Aunt and Uncle that live here. It just isn't the same as having grandparents. I hope that I can remember the all things that my mom taught me! We have great people in our ward so we hope that we can have sisters come over a couple of times a week to be with Austin and I to either help or just to visit (that is another thing that was driving me crazy, I need to visit with people, I have to be social! :))
Like Ben said my labor was long. I was in active labor from 36-40 hours. I took an epidural towards the end so that I could sleep and have energy for the birth. I was not progressing so they gave me petocin to speed up the contractions and to get rid of the last little part of my cervix that was left. That piece was pretty stubborn and so the epidural wore off and I gave birth without pain medication but with petocin intensified contractions. It was certainly labor, but I love our little boy so it was worth it.
After we came home from the hospital I developed mastitis on my left side, that was so miserable. But with some antibiotics it went a way so that we can concentrate on breastfeeding.
Austin is doing so well, just last night he was in his bouncer that has lights and moving object on it and he actually has looking at it and responded to it. I almost started to cry, it was really neat to see him respond to something other than being fed! Thank you all for your love and support, I love to check our blog for comments, it is up lifting!

Hi Nanna! We love you!

But Nanna I don't want to take a bath! (shorty after this he peed all over the place, it was hilarious!)

Hey there Daddy!

Hey what's that over there?
